Licensed Private Investigator

Many licensed private investigators have a law enforcement or military background or a college degree in criminal justice, political science, or business.  Although not required to become a licensed private investigator, you should know that many of the people competing for those jobs would have these degrees or levels of experience.

If you don’t have any of the above experience, enroll if a detective school.  This will equip you with the skills and training you need to function as a licensed private investigator.

Before you can become a licensed private investigator you will need to apply for a private investigator’s license.
