Fraud Investigators

Fraud investigators conduct civil and criminal investigations related to financial crimes.  Before becoming a fraud investigator, one must first earn a degree in business administration, criminal justice, law, accounting, fraud management, or economic crime.  Fraud investigators must also be licensed by the state and often must complete continuing education.

Fraud investigators will examine a wide variety of evidence related to a case including interview complainants, employers and witnesses, personnel documentation, medical evidence, and more.  Fraud investigators will conduct their duties according to legal requirements as well as write reports and present information to attorneys.  Fraud investigators frequently provide testimony in court.
