Because of the exciting and often inaccurate portrayal of criminal investigators on television, more and more people are interested in becoming criminal investigators.  Although the reality of the job is usually different than you might see on TV shows, criminal investigators can enjoy a challenging and rewarding career.

Criminal Investigators must obtain some form of higher education before achieving their vocational goals; usually a Criminal Investigations Degree or another degree in the field of criminal justice is the best choice.

The nature of a criminal investigator’s job varies depending on the experience and area of concentration he or she chooses.
